Windward Poppies
Join our family through our journey living, learning, and teaching abroad.
Get To Know Us
We are an American teaching couple from the great state of California. In 2016, we decided to leave our comforts for some adventures gallivanting the world. Little did we know that would include foster-failing and adopting a dog, international house hunting, giving birth abroad - twice, and quarantines of a global pandemic.
This site was created as a helpful resource for adventurous travelers and expats navigating foreign countries. We hope you find our experiences and perspectives interesting and useful in your adventures on this beautiful planet of ours.
Travels
As newlyweds and then as a growing family, living abroad has opened the door to some amazing destinations and experiences we might not have otherwise pursued. In the Travels section, we have documented the highlights of our itineraries for your enjoyment.
Life Abroad
Moving abroad was one of the best decisions of our lives. Traveling is great, but living and working in a foreign country can really broaden your perspective and give your time to reflect . In the Life Abroad section, we have documented the highlights of our time in Kuwait, Spain, and Vietnam.
From Our Experience

Are you a fellow expat that needs help navigating Kuwait, Spain, or Vietnam? If so, please visit the From Our Experience section for useful information we've gathered over the years.
